We are Flying as Usual

Good news! According to the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency, the Russian airlines meet the air transportation needs of the population.

Despite the restrictions imposed by a number of foreign countries on the use of their airspace, the Russian airlines continue the international air transportation. Six Russian airlines operate flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan with combined frequency of about 250 flights per week. For foreign flights, our carriers use the aircraft that have no risk of being detained abroad, including 147 of Russian Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft. In addition, today 29 airlines from Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Venezuela, Israel, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Mongolia, UAE, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey operate flights to Russia and Uzbekistan.

In addition, it follows from the statement of the Federal Air Transport Agency that the practical experience gained by Russian civil aviation during the COVID-19 pandemic made it possible to make necessary decisions quickly in order to increase the transport accessibility and mobility of the Russian population in the current conditions.

These are the state support measures for the subsidized routes, for which a significant amount of funds has been allocated from the budget - 27.5 billion rubles. At the moment the programs are being implemented to subsidize the regional transportation, the flights to the central part of Russia from Kaliningrad and the Far East. The state support is provided to the least protected categories of the population - the disabled, the elderly, youth, parents with many children.

The positive attitude of our aviation authorities pleases us, we still hope for fast settlement of the conflict with Ukraine and full restoration of the international traffic though!
