IMPORTANT! European Union Airspace is Completely Closed to Russian Aircraft.

On February 27, the European Union imposed a total flight ban on the Russian aircraft throughout its territory. This was stated by Ursula von der Leyen, EU Commission chief, at the press conference in Brussels on Sunday.

“We are closing the EU airspace to the Russian planes. We impose a ban on all aircraft owned, registered in Russia or controlled by Russia. These planes will not be able to land, take off or cross the EU territory,” she said. According to von der Leyen, this ban applies to all aircraft, including private ones.

Now the Russians cannot fly to Europe. This is a response to the military operation, Russia conducting in Ukraine.
