The Federal Tourism Agency sent letters to the heads of regions asking them to allocate additional financing for the tourism industry and provide it with benefits. As stated in the appeal, the decline in turnover in this area reached 95-100%, and the volume of revenue lost from the beginning of the year including the domestic and inbound flow of travelers, exceeded 1.5 trillion rubles.
Experts note that this year domestic directions will become a priority, since there is no reason to expect a speedy recovery of international traffic.
