On 16 September, Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism Sergey Korneev and Adviser to the Head of Russian Federal Tourism Agency Dmitry Gorin took part in the work of the 10th meeting of the Russian-Bulgarian Working Group on Tourism. It was held in Varna as part of the 17th Russian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. On 17 September, the Commission was chaired by the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, and on 19 September, an offsite Business Forum of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia was held, attended by the Minister of Tourism of Bulgaria Nikolina Angelkova.


During the meetings, the Parties agreed to work in the following areas to develop and maintain good relations between the two countries in the field of tourism:
1. Assist tourists staying within the domestic territory to prevent conflicts resulting in violation of rights and affecting the legitimate interests of the tourists.
2. Exchange information about new tourism products, destinations, conferences (presentations and reports by participants).
3. Ensure the safety and security of tourists within the domestic territory, especially when organising children's recreation.
4. Take steps to increase the number of tourists and facilitate the tourist exchange between the countries.
5. Collaborate within the scope of the Commission for the European World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), the Working Group on Tourism for the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
