According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, a release version of Russian online accommodation booking service will be available in Crimea. The service is being developed by IT experts of the Federal Cadastral Chamber. The new platform will be an alternative to foreign aggregators. According to Dmitry Gorin, the vice president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), the work of foreign aggregators is associated to several legal issues, including storage of personal data, taxation, licensing in the country where they are present. The developers promise that the new service will make it possible to rent accommodation in Crimea and be sure that there will not be any issues after your arrival. Thanks to synchronisation with the Unified State Register of Real Estate (EGRN), it will be possible to verify the data on the facilities. In 2018 the number of Russian tourists travelling within the country increased by 10% compared to 2017. The hosts of the programme Utro Rossii, on channel Russia 1, spoke about this, and invited Dmitry Gorin as an expert. According to the Adviser to the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, this trend is continuing in 2019. 'To solve the main issue of travelling in Russia, the price of air tickets, a special Domestic Tourism Programme has been operating for two years. The subsidies under this programme will allow tour operators to provide discounts on charter flights. According to our estimates, savings on ticket prices will range from 10 to 15%,' he stated. Dmitry Gorin also said that, to expand the geography of travels, the agency is already developing a programme called 'Russian Weekends' aimed at promoting trips to the nearest cities. In the programme Glavnye Novosti on RBC Dmitry Gorin spoke about the reasons why Russians are travelling more in 2019. The increase is already estimated to be from 10 to 25%. 'This year Russians planned their holidays in advance, not only for the high season in July-August, but for September, October, and event November as well. During this period tours are cheaper by 20–30% on average. More and more often they choose high-category hotels, while the average duration of trips decreased from 14 to 10 days,' he noted.
