Dmitry Gorin awarded Emirates Airline at the Wings of Russia Award ceremony

On the 16th of April the 22nd “Wings of Russia” National Aviation Award ceremony was held at the Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre Hotel in Moscow. Dmitry Gorin, General Director of Vipservice, was a member of the Award Expert Council, and as the Advisor to the Head of Russiatourism was invited to grant the honorary prize in the nomination “Foreign Airline of the Year — People’s Choice Prize”. The Emirates deservedly won in the group of 30 competitors.

“I always say that the journey begins with a flight: the quality and service of the airline means a lot to tourists. And the passengers’ choice is very important to us, because we work for them,” said Dmitry Gorin, congratulating Vadim Besperstov, Emirates Manager for Russian Federation and CIS.

Other 32 companies out of nearly 100 participants got a coveted winged figurine in 12 different nominations. In particular, the following the airlines were named among the best: Aeroflot, Pobeda and Ural Airlines, which took prizes in two nominations at once — “International Carrier” and “Domestic Passenger Carrier, Group 1 — over 4 million passengers”; AZUR air — “Russian Airline of the Year — People’s Choice Prize”, Azimuth — a special diploma “For Successful Start in the Russian Air Carriers Market”, and others. All winners and diploma winners are the cream of domestic and international passenger aviation.

On Wings of Russia Award

For the past twenty-one years, the Wings of Russia has earned a status of the most prestigious award of the industry. It is annually awarded to airlines and airports, which are recognised as the best based on the voting of passengers and members of the expert council. Companies participating in the competition represent practically the entire air transport of the country.
